HP Colorado T-1000 Travan Tape Drive

DataSure Services is pleased to announce the availability of the new HP Colorado T-1000 tape drive, the first of the new Travan technology tape drives. The Travan technology promises to extend the range of 1/4 inch minicartridge drives to beyond 1GB. The T-1000 provides 400 MB of uncompressed storage, (800 MB with compression) and is read/write compatable on QIC-80, QIC-80 Wide, QIC-80 XL, and read compatable with QIC-40 media.

• Up to 9.5 MB / minute tranfer rate with High Performance FC20 Controller Card
• Connects to Floppy Controller for ease of installation
• Fits both 5.25" HH and 3.5" low profile drive bays
• Complete with Colorado Backup fo Windows and Backup for DOS Software
• Compatable with Novell Netware v 2.x, 3.x, Lantastic and Windows for Workgroups
• Software includes Automatic and One Button Backup,
• PC and Network support,
• Unattended backup scheduling,
• and Tape Librarian
• OS/2 software also available separately
• 150,000 hours MTBF
• 2 year limited warranty
• The Travan tape cartridge is slightly wider and deeper than DC2120 tapes, to allow for greater tape length, with a trapezoidal shape.

Iomega's Ditto 3200

Iomega has introduced the Ditto 3200, using the Travan TR3 format tapes with 1600 MB native Capacity. It is available as parallel port or internal floppy controller models
